My favorite character of all time.

My favorite ever is Katniss Everdeen, she is my favorite character of all time because she is brave, courageous, and she is protective. During the day of the reaping Katniss toke her sisters  place for the hunger games because she didn't want her sister to die in the games. She is courageous because, during her time to show what she could do in front of the game makers she shot a arrow at an apple in a pigs mouth right near their heads, for the fact that they weren't paying attention to her. Katniss is protective because during the games she comes across a little girl named Rue from district 11. Rue is twelve which is the same age as Katniss's younger sister Primrose. Katniss protects Rue through the games and same with Rue to her, they make a great team until Rue was hit with an arrow by a kid from another district, as soon as Rue was hit with the arrow Katniss reacts and shots the other kid with an arrow. Katniss is also loving because when Rue was hit Katniss stays there until she is fully gone, keeping her company for the last few minuets of her life. Katniss is also protective over Peeta, when Ktniss finds out that if both the boy and the girl from the same district make it to the end they could both go home Katniss remembers about Peeta. When Katniss finds him he is hurt, she brings him to a cave were they both would be safe and she takes care of him keeoing him safe and helping him heal. These reasons are the reasons of why Katniss Everdeen is one of my most favorite characters of all time.

My first blog

My favorite book was The Running Dream, I enjoyed this book a lot because it taught to never give up on your dreams. The main character, Jessica, in this book was a runner and she was on her way home from a meet the bus she was on had gotten into a crash. She had lost one of her legs and could not run the way she wanted to or the way she could before. Towards the end of the book she meets a girl that always wanted to be in a race but couldn’t when Jessica signs up for a race she decides to enter the girl in with her and push her through the race. Jessica never gave up on running even when she had difficulties, never giving up on her dreams. My favorite type of genre is realistic fiction because even though the event in the book mostly likely hasn’t happened, it is very possible that it could. The book I am reading right now is called The Hunger Games, this book is about a girl named Katniss and a boy named Peeta. They both were chosen at the reaping to be in the 74th annual hunger games that is hosted and designed by Panem, the state capitol of all 12 districts. Katniss and Peeta are from district Twelve, more know as the poorest district or as the mining district. Katniss has a younger sister named Primrose, Primrose was originally selected for the games but Katniss volunteered as tribute because she didn’t want Primrose to be killed. If Katniss didn’t volunteer as tribute the Primrose would have had to be sent far away from the district. Katniss and Peeta are sent on a speed train to get to Panem for less than a few hours, on the train they talk to Haymitch about the training and the actual fighting in the arena. Although Haymitch isn’t very helpful, because he has been drinking too much he still gives then use full advice on how to strategize the games with tips like, as soon as you run of the platform do not go and try to grab something run as far and fast as you can into the woods and watch your back every step of the way because you never know that someone is right behind you waiting and watching to come and kill you. I wonder at the end of the game who will win will it be Katniss or Peeta or someone from another district?
